More MyMindsEye Cards
Here are a few more cards I made with the new MyMinds Eye, Follow your Heart line. I truly love this line, the colors are bright but not over powering. It makes it so easy to create spring cards. I really had a great play playing the the honeycomb design/texture that is part of the paper. I love the fact that honeycomb is in this season, I hope it's stays a little while.

Fast and gorgeous Congratulation Card
My brother recently got engaged. It's a really nice time in our family. A few years back he was diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma, it was a horrible time in our family. On Christmas day of 2009 he started his aggressive chemo therapy, and on new years he was finally released from the hospital after a two week stay. It was truly a horrible time in our lives, and we're so happy to be here today celebrating his engagement. I quickly, or as quickly as a scrapper can make things, made him and his fiancée a card for their joyous occasion.
Continuing along with the de stash movement, I used some older Prima paper, and paper pieced the background together. Then, I finally took out the stamp and die cut from Sizzix and Hero Arts, for the flower. I paper pieced two out of the three flowers. I colored the last flower with my distress inks and a eyeshadow applicator. I love the look, it's distressed and has that water colored look, at the same time. The sentiment is from Just Rite stamps. Enjoy and be inspired.

Cosmo Cricket Circa 1934 cards
Continuing with the de stashing concept, here're some card I made with the Cosmo Cricket Circa1934 paper pack. I haven't even ever cut into this paper pack until I needed to make these birthday cards for some close scrappy friends.
On a side note, I just wanted to say that I love my iPad and Pinterest. It's because I was lying in bed thinking how I was going to incorporate these papers in these cards. I was lost and mostly anxiously. I, then easily took out my iPad and Googled and Pinterest the paper line, and in a matter or minutes, I found a couple of card layouts I could easily use for my cards.
The supplies I used:
-black Chinese braid time, from my stash, I think I got it at Walmart
-Tattered Angels postage stamp chip pieces, Fran and letters
-Recollection large beige flower, comes in a large bucket
-Tim Holtz distress stain in fired brick
- Just Rite stamps
Enjoy and be inspired.

De-Stash Layout
Besides starting a blog this year, another resolution of sorts, is to stop hoarding soo much. I probably actually qualify to be on the show now. In this layout I decided to combine a misting technique that I never tried. I used a Tattered Angels Glimmer screen, and some Lindys stamp gang product. I am quite happy with the effect. I, then, tried using the layering technique, which I used with the embellishments. I used some old Chatter Box stickers, that I received in a grab bag at my local LSS NSD crop. I am pleased with the overall look of the layout, however I'm going to have to continue to practice my layering embellishment technique. It's not as full as I wanted it to be.
Lastly, the picture is of my niece, looking out the window on her birthday last year. She loves the outdoors, and I thought this picture really captures the feeling. enjoy, and be inspired.
